Mule shoes- from the garden to the catwalk

The mule shoes were invented in 18^th century for indoor wearing and were mostly associated with prostitutes. The peak of their popularity was in 20^th century when the actress Merilyn Monroe decided to break their bad fame. These shoes were a trend in the 50s, 60s and after that in the 90s; however during 21^st century women wore them primarily when doing some gardening.

Now in 2014 the old-trend shoes are rising again. However they are with completely renewed interface. The Mule shoes are a great hit among designers and are turning into the must-have shoes for the summer of 2014. With their architectural shapes and youthful look, these shoes are targeted at the younger population of shoe-lovers.
